you too dave, and the rest of the FSi lads and lassies

done some work on the car tonite, windows all in, radiator properly mounted , and fan fitted correctly

got the tyres fiited to the OZ alloys , but the offset is too high and the tyres are hitting the coilovers, so now need hubcentric spacers to help with clearance or maybe just buy another set of compomotives and sell the OZ alloys

where do i buy hubcentric spacers 15mm to suit my car, anyone help, thats my only real option to retain these wheels to clear the LEDA coilovers , they are too big in diameter as apposed to the GAZ and AVO coilovers,, where id have tons of clearance

wee update guys, fitted the blacktop sump to the engine, prevuiosly had a silvertop sump on it, what a fookin nitemare it was, on and off repeatedly

the engine has studs fitted onto the main caps which where fowling the sump webbing, had to relieve them a little for clearance, then the starter wouldnt fit , had to relieve the sump a little more( its front mounted starter, and i had already removed a lot of the webbing from the sump already to clear the starter), tehn the alternator wouldnt clear the sump, relieve that too, and finally the downpipe wouldnt fit, was fowling on the underside, had to cut the exhaust and reweld it. I knew it was gona be a nitemare , but not to this extent

Then after fitting the manifold the fan wouldnt fit,this was becuase of the new radiator position, had to do some more relieveing with teh grinder again, and after i had it all freshly powdercoated :( :(

finally had it all together, after hours of messing about, ohhh i love cars :D :D

Thats the camshaft back from Newman Cams today, I cant say enough about there service, absolutely spot on, Ken Newman was brilliant , and got the problem sorted in no time at all, brand new cam, and he only charged me for the set up costs, so big thanks to Newman Cams

Also got all the other bits ive been waiting on from Rallye Design, so will get them fitted on tomorrow

Thats the graphix all fitted to the car aswell, really pleased with them, just a little bit to finish, windscreen sunstrip and graphix on the roof, ill need to get it back on its wheels and roll it out the garge for some pics
