To the 1.6 - interior out, passenger seat gone also seatbelt gone.
Ashtray replaced back into interior piece.

The 2.0 - interior swapped over, seat cover on back seat and the latch for the door replaced.
Was a b**terd as one of the bolts was screwed up so had to be drilled out. Need to raid my dads bolts for a replacement, but doors now close as they should :)

Monday is alarm day for the 2.0

So much for just giving the car a wash today after removing the passenger seat and belt :crazi:

Yesterday I was kinda busy the list of things done:

- Changed both lower arms for brand new ones.
- Replaced the ford lower arm bolts with new high tensile stainless ones.
- Replaced aux belt.
- Changed rocker cover for spray painted one.
- Fitted sprayed throttle body onto inlet.
- Fitted sprayed exhaust headsheild.
- Fitted K&N bananananananaaaaaa pipe and filter with the painted maf back on to the car.
- Fitted painted stut tops.
- Sprayed radiator fan housing.
- Fitted sprayed engine hooks and other nuts and bolts that was sprayed.
- Replaced fuel filter.
- Snapped ball joint pinch bolt.
- Started to underseal the car.
- Had a poo.... oh wait, thats not to do with the car... :lol:

Update to come later tonight/tomorrow :)

Fitted a handsfree thingy to the mk2....looked at getting 13s back on it... turns out i can run 175/60s or 165/55s quite nicely on a 5.5 inch rim and it means its back on 13 inch steels and looking proper old skool :D also converted Harley to run HID...nothing stupid 5000K kit with slimline ballast which i had to hide under the tank and mod the wiring loom :)

yeah the 14s look just that bit too big on it to be honest...im not putting alloys on it..i dont like pepperpots on non XR mk2s...and im not putting aftermarket alloys on it..whats the point?! i will get round to some more shots..ive been a bit lacking in those i know.

that bike is a headache! dont get me wrong...i love it to bits. but mods which you want to do make as discreet as possible just become a pain in the arse because there is nowwhere to hide anything. literally i had to measure the distance between the tank recess and coil mount. looked to be about 15mm by eye... slimline ballast is 13mm with approx 1mm of cabletie that makes 14mm...around the coilpack/mounts. and slip the tank back down it just slides on the cableties and it just fits without being seen hanging out under the tank etc.that was a very well judged guess! i did bitch about the moulded wiring plugs when i did a review. ive had to cut them off because they were massive..and im not having that ugly shit on my bike!
I will say however the improvement in lighting is a revelation. :)

Decided it was about time to start to fix up the Escort.
Had too many close calls with ditches on the way to and from work, oh and *ahem* a railway crossing :teehheee:

So went down to Shonkworx-2
Replaced OSR wheel bearing
Replaced NSR shocker
Fitted Xmas tree 15's onto rear

Feels soooooo much better over bumps now, tempting to spend another £15 and replace the OSR shocker as well to make it better :shock:

Looked at the so called bent wheel, and noticed it has no weights on it :lol: so that might be the problem
Will need to go to a tyre place, will fit a new tyre onto one wheel and get the other 3 balanced up.
Will wait till Ive done wishbones and track rod ends and they can do the tracking too... that'll be a good pants down moment but worth it for the safety!!

Airbag light is now flashing at me... found a new hole down the lane :lol:
