Iv got a haynes Manuel if I get a 2.0 then I suppose ill have a bash with that so its like a new engine going in.

It take about an hour to an hour an half depending on traffic, 50 odd mile. Just Google map Ol113sn and check directions, that'll tell you pal.

Wont the fiesta one do as zetec engine all overruling bolt up the same no matter the capacity?

Course you can mate, wont be doing anything for ages yet though, need to get the car in shape to even be worthy of a replacement engine lol.

only thing that the mondeo manual will vary on is the water and oil pumps, and the dipstick and exhaust manifold

Got a new battery today, out with the old (left) in with the new (right):

Started the car up after a hell of a long time and its running like a bag of shit, it wont hold its revs, when im staionary they keep dropping to the bring of stalling the gong back up to where it should be then dropping, then driving it i can feel it very jerky. I knew it was gonna be abit rough but not this bad. The MAF sensor is unplugged as some of the wires to it are snapped so with it plugged in it wont run at all but i dont think its because of this as iv run the car before without the MAF plugged in (as it broke in the past) and it still run decent. Any help/advice please?

Mine runs pretty bad when it has been sat for weeks and weeks, how long has it been sat?

Usually when mine does that I just leave it running for a good few minutes on the drive and it sorts itsself out, before now I have had to sit with my foot slightly on the accelerator pedal to stop her stalling

since last meet, run it briefly about a month ago but it was bad then. when i started the car it started first turn and ran quite reasonable but after a few minutes the idling became erratic and when i drove it, it seemed to accelerate very un smoothly. could being stood have any affect on spark plugs, fuel filter or other servicable parts?

my 2.0 was like this when I picked it up.
Changed the oil and put an old intake on it (as the one on it was split) also cleaned up the MAF it helped it run better. I still get it every 3/4 runs but not all the time and it never gets to the stage where it stalls now. I'm pretty sure mine is down to having an intake that doesn't fit the MAF

Keep it up you'll get it there eventually (also its a lovely little si )
