if your lacking petrol feedback, either you need to bleed your brakes again or your asking too much from your servo, rear discs will add to this and you will deffo need a bigger servo by then, RS2000 or mondeo 2.0 servo id suggest ;)

apart from enjoying my recent mods

ive found and reserved the last stock of a K&N cleaning kit for my filter, the cars due a service and that K&N has been manky since ive owned the Si

£12.99 halfords price, my discount/trade card will knock that down a bit

also been eyeing up some oils, will probably go with castrol magnitex again this year as i cant fault it its a oil

a filter will be about £1.50, ill also get a fuel filter, a pack of polyurathyne exhaust hangers ready for the four branch to go back on
also a can of petrol blue or two for the mirror casings, rust spot o the door/sill

if i dont do the service with this pay it will deffinately be the next, also im planning on getting rear axle spacers, 15mm ones

gave the car a deserved wash today as she was manky from ferring me to work the past week, done 160miles, most in a week for months

Id go with the halfords oil mate, i think its made by castrol anyway, or theres a BP garage around the corner and sometimes they have wicked deals on castrol oil got a big huge one for £20

well the anoying part of a zetec is it takes 5 litres of oil almost, 4.8 or 4.9 l or so

and the magnitex only comes in 4 and 1 litre bottles, which makes it very expensive and the 1ls are over £10 alone!

think i know the garage your on about, ill have a look, but its gonna have to be cheap to beat the offer on in halfords with my discount on top, think they're £25 without my discount

ah yea, they're good i sue similar, but they're found much cheaper on ebay for the same (typically shit) quality as in halfords, as these are never made to a good grade, and fail within a year i find

my base of the Recaro on the drivers side has a dislodged piece of foam
Image

after feeling behind, i can feel the single strip piece of foam is there, but its sagged and formed like it, pushing it back up and it just drops again in the middle

but theres a wire supported flap
Image

which i think goes under this strip of foam and holds it there, anyone have a tip to get it to stay up? and in shape

my passengers looks mint and has the right sort of 90 degree shape to it

but the drivers has sagged, i managed to get it too stay like this but it is misshaped still

Image

any advice would help, cheers

sold about 200kgs of metal today to a place called Fordpad, they weight and give you the value

i made £22.80 on alloy/aluminium metals from the likes of a gearbox, two rads and some others like engine brackets and a fiesta inlet

another £12 on steel from engine mounts brackets and exhaust mainly, was loads of it, 110kgs actually, shows how little steel goes for theses days

and then made £30 on that 1.25's Cat and manifold, silly thing was it was partly broken up, would have been worth a bit more fully intact

£64 or so in all i was honestly expecting to see little over a tenner, sow ith this found wealth i decided its been long enough, and dropped my RS turbo bonnet off at RS body repairs up in Cwmafan not far from the village

the owner/son of the owner has a rather nicely restored Rs turbo, he said the engine is running around 200bhp but hes got plans of a 2.1 zetec turbo soon, hes adamant he dont want to remove it from the forecourt and use the roads as hes too attatched to let it get damaged, i can empathise

engine bay looked stunning, something i aint seen yet was a sanded back flat inlet top with EFI emblazed in black
ST24 front brakes with grooved and drilled discs, rear rs2000 set up, 16" mondeo Si alloys and gel ford overlays

its alot better looking then when i was up there last, looking sorry for itself with tatty paint and stuff growing on it

quick pic

Image

anyway, the bonnet will be done by end of friday, ive kept the vents as ill give them a coat of Satin black, theyre gloss atm, and if they look poo it aint hard to get them two sprayed to match

also my mirrors are up there for the casings sprayed, but i wont be collecting them till the end of the month

glad i can get rid of a dented bonnet at last :Q

i love how the new focus RS looks witht he bonnet vents with them black on the blue car, actually even in white or the green, and the ST with them on in orange haha

if its shit it wont be much of an effort to spray them

just had a bit of a spending spree on DMB graphics

two of these minus the calypso crap, to go in the orignal place

one spare

and my actual list for the underside of the bonnet, if i want to hide it i can put the original turbo heat/sound deadening on

Image

was quite cheap considering, the little fiesta picture is a art work poster ;) thats for my room lol

Cleared my glovebox, as its mainly stashed with shit anyway

feed these two cables through the little cover in the back
Image

withdrew the headunit and connected the cable to the video input
Image

also noticed why my drivers speaker aint been working, one of the pins was loose, plugged it back in, taped the wires togehter to keep it in, all better, my new tweeter can be heard now and its a nice lift :)

the set up
Image

connected up and all snug
Image

so the pikyes cant see it
Image

the feed
Image

as it sits
Image

some GTA vice city:
Image

or GT3
Image

just waiting on the new monitor now and i can enjoy it on trips etc, cant use the head unit screen, hurts my eyes and gives me an headache

the PS2 is running on a 60w inverter from halfords, plugs into the cigar socket and also has a USB port for charging phones etc

not bad for the fact it was old stop at work and i practicly had it for nothing :)
in time ill get a slimline as they run on less and wont have the same likelyness to freeze this fat console does at the angle it sits in the glovebox, ps2 slim clips the disc in place :)
