Cba with spending extra money on another 4-2-1  it was a pain to fit in the first place, its a piper one which is one of the best makes and it would be a waste of cash  I'm not even sure shawspeed do exhausts.
But as I say, with the cams and an exhaust then a rolling map i'll see 150, so thats cooooool. Sticking with the cone filter due to the rooar :D

I would stick with your 4-2-1 and filter all day long Chris. Just do things gradually I say, like the most essential things - service... that would be a good place to start. How long ago was you on about getting servicing bits? Oil and filter, 20mins job sorted. Then you know its done and that little bit of peace of mind is there. Then save up for bits and do them as and when you can.

Get cams and re-map done at pretty much the same time aswell, like fit the cams, then once fitted book it in to be set up properly :)

Anyway, less talk more work! Crack on :) lol.

hmmmm, Doubt i'd be able to do that. I wouldn't be able to store £400 in my bank account then save another £300, wouldn't happen. i'd end up dipping into it and promising myself i'll repay it later
I'll fit the cams (been told there bearable for road use!) then book it in and pay for the remap the next month, Should be fun times.
Yes, I will buy the servicing bits! Next month, just needs to warm up a bit! got another 2000 miles left until its essential

Also depends on what type of cam your putting in your engine,
These cams see these figures becuase thats the type of cam they are, its tried and tested stuff from a big manufacturer. There a very good brand and they make them specifically for that engine to produce that power, the sell other cams which are much more aggressive but would require a lot more engine work.

C'mon Jony, look at the zetec-s... the little 1.6 engine can put out 115bhp as standard from the factory. The old silvertops are so restricted as you will know. Chris is right with his figures too, there is a ZS rr shootout in a FF mag, shows it all too :)

nah, ive seen only a small handful make that figure from just them 3 mods, or 4 with a induction kit, whent hey have TBs they make about 150-160bhp

this more of a do it and prove to me kinda thing lol

the zetecs aint that restricted, you can get over 500bhp from a 2.0, thats rivaling some YB engines

the stated upgrades will give you a good boost in power theres no dening that though

Yeah but 500bhp is ZT league and thats pouring money in, Wont be surprised that chris will see that figure from SS4s, exhaust and a map. A guy on ukfn i think is pushing 160/170 with ITB's

Right, coilover arrived today! :)
Can't believe how easily and quickly we got it out and back in! Took hours before, this time we had it sorted in half hour!! Then I realised i'd put the top mounts on all wrong and we had to start again.. So an hour later i'm all good
Took it for a drive and its great! :)

Bad picture, but here..
Image

Then spend half hour or so measuring and fiddling and trying to get the heights right.
On one side of the car the new spring has two bits which you can twist instead of one. so once they hit the bottom of the thread thats it, but on all the others its only one screw thing. Therefore on the bottom its 1cm higher than the other side! So I had to raise the front on the other side :( then raise the back :( Then try and level it out :( Its tooooo high! I wish it would be a little lower. its level one side, but one side might be a weeee bit out but I thought i'd let the pictures and you guys decide..

Also this is the front arch, anyone know how i'm meant to clamp my mudflaps on there?? :lolz:

Left looks higher than the right to me... Looks better now though either way!

Did you find a washing up glove and do what I said on the phone or not need to?

As for the mud flap, just rivet it on :) lol

looks alright to me mate, im a bit of a perfectionist like but id be happy with that. suprised that the coilovers dont have levels so you can get them all smack bang.

as for the mud flap, if you can barely fit your finger in it, then the clamp will sure fit! just tease it in, i had to do it with the front!
