what the 1.4 make standard??


tbh mate i couldnt say, it was the first exhaust it had after fitting the 1.8 to the mk4 fiesta! and id never owned anything more powerful than a 1.6 Si so i really cant say on it making a difference lol

sounded lovely though, very raspy without a cat, over rev sounded immense


mine cost me £150 for a flexi (that i found out later i didnt even need midsection with no backbox, and alterations to my final backbox i already had, (mainly the bore and pipe adjustments

i might buy an ibiza fr tdi 130bhp in a few months.

the courtesy car i had was much more practical than the arosa.

and those tdis are good for 200bhp like..

and still do 50+mpg.

and i do a lot of miles so could do with a car which is good on fuel.

my mates dad said that.

tbh i just want something quicker and cheap to insure, those ibizas are both. and they are also very cheap to run and good to tune, much more roomy than the arosa and are very nice.

having the timing belt and cam seals done in work on tuesday now, its pissing oil out everywhere.

Not really a fan of zs diesels.

not really a fan of a zs petrol either tbh.

ive looked at loads of fords, Fiesta STs ST170s, racing pumas. they all cost a fortune to insure and theres cars out the which are faster cheaper to insure, handle better, built better, easier to tune etc..

yea there are plenty to chose from, but im bit of a fan boy and prefere not to leave fords haha

id rather get a mk3 fiesta and attempt a common rail injection diesel from the mk6, probs the 1.6, not really worth the 1.4

actually the same 1.6 from the focus mk2 is better as it has a slightly bigger turbo

been a busy week with the arosa.

put it through mot on monday.

failed unfortunately on.

lower arm bush
rear brake caliper binding (knew about that)
rear brake pads (knew about that)
and exhaust mounting bracket snapped (knew about that)

also had an advisory on parking brake effieciency. as the other rear caliper isnt doing much.

and the oil leak. which turned out to be the oil breather pipe had a kink in it so it was blowing oil up through the dipstick tube and was running down the side of the engine. so we`ve sorted the pipe and put an o ring on the dipstick coz it was missing one.

timing belt was also done on tuesday.

turned out the timing was retarded a tooth, so now its bang on it goes like poo off a shovel! lol

anyway so ive bought the following parts.

Lower arm, genuine one from vw trade parts. 60 quid!! i could of had 2 for the fiesta for that price!!
both rear calipers ( they cost a fortune as well)
EBC Greenstuff rear pads

so all i gota do now is fit them up and weld the exhaust and the car should be mint once again.

due an oil change then though...

oh and ive also fitted my toyos back on the front so she grips like poo now as well. and removed the scrubbing mudflaps.
