Would bonding them on work?

noo chris, they are clamps so they just clamp to whatever you attach it to!

yesh scamp, only problem was, the arch lip on the drivers side id bigger so when i screwed it, it went all wonky, will be posting pics soon

and lou, probably could, but its hard to get them symmetrical, so it would be a right ball ache.

after lazing about till 12 i thought i'd get into action.
i began on the bonnet i bought of sjoyce... had some rust on the inside lip so i ground that off and hammerited it.. replaced the badge and put it back in the shed (because i had no1 to help me )



(you can't really tell but the badge wasn't in the best condition!)
I then moved onto the car! first time using my trolley jack and axel stands... lets just say it was tense! after an hour of finally getting it right

i removed the wheels and began the de-rust! i started on the arches, and sills.




i then did the toe eye.


i knew the black hammerite would stand out so attempted to blend it in with some ash black spray, some kind of reaction so i wiped it off and started again! guess it wasnt dry properly?

i finally moved onto the mudflaps, which were a pain in the arse. managed to get the rears on without having to take the wheels off! thank god. took a while to get them perfect though.

front was worse, as the lip on the drivers side and the lip on the o/s wing are different. so screwing it in on the drivers side made it go wonky so i sroted that with a larger screw!

average but i wanted it clear of rust to an extent and the mudflaps on after having them for many, many months.
couple of problems i have... this...

and the inner of my tyres have (again) worn faster than the outside. down to either tracking or the wishbones. not sure which yet but im wondering it the above pic has anything to do with it?

that wishbone wont be helpin much
how low you got it?
as there is no adjuster for camber etc via rosejoints n the like,
how low it is determines how much neg camber (i think thats right) the wheels have therefore buggering the inner of the tyre
oh n get some polys to stop the need for new wishbones every month lol

well i havent lowered it! thats the thing lol. i will be soon but atm its standard.
so it must be the tracking thats out or just the wishbones? i will, how much is it for the front, £30?

oh and i just realised the picture of the wishbone is it jacked up! its the split in the rubber thing (forgot the name) that worries me lol! sorry darren for not making it clear.

not lowered
id see if trackin would sort it but i would have the wheels balanced first as theres not much they can do about trackin unless its rose jointed/ adjustable wishbones etc
after that get it laserlined and see whats up with it

oooh I remember when I "sorted" my arch rust, by spraying it on my old car. Then I started doing dinks and scratches, then I ruined my paintwork! That rust will come back and that patch is never going to look right You'll have to get it sprayed up properly with a new panel if you ever want it to last and look good.

oh chris by any means, this isnt long term lol! just until i get enough for a full respray! i think going over with ash black will sort it, some dodgy paint is better than horrible rust in my opinion. i did it a while back on the door, couldnt even tell id sprayed it.

Its worth slowing the rust down than let it eat away
