right in the not so distant future i was going to re shell my si with an xr2 and put my mechanicals in it but whats the odds of finding a decent xr2 shell ? or am i better of doing all the mot work on mine and weld a new rear 1/4 sor out the bodywork put an xr2 kit on it and get the whole car painted ?? :?

so i will either end up with a half decent xr2 2.0 or my si rebuilt and turned into an xr2 rep . :blahblah:

if yours isnt that bad it would be worth just repairing it, or buy a good 1.1 and put all ur running gear and xr2i kit on that :thumbsup:

Yeah, i saw on pistonheads a 1995 fiesta 1.1 with 1400 genuie miles from new. It was £2500 though

ok sat and thought about this im having xr skirts si front bumper with splitter and zetec s back bumper but im gonna smooth the bumper not the boot so i dont have 2 numberplate slots what do u think??

why dont u smooth the boot and put number plate on bumper that way u will still have number plate light as the zetec s bumper they are in the bumper already

cause if u take the si bumper of u will lose the light and the zetec s bumper has them in already and all u will have to do is use a connecter box as the wire connectors are different on the mk5 to the mk3 :thumbsup:

but if u smooth the boot imo u should keep rear wiper as we live in a wet country and it is needed :thumbsup:

personally i would rather smooth the boot than the bumper or try and find a splitter for the si bumper :thumbsup:

but move the plate on to the zetec s bumper if u change :thumbsup:

the new pannels im after so far meilack are 2 wings ,1 doorskin ,one rear quarter o/s/r , and rear arch n/s/r , front and rear valance, the the floor i will just plate

yea lol it only needs the rear quarter tbh nut theres dents in the wings and the valance etc etc and i could patch up the sills but lets face it if i just keep patching and patching then in a couple of years it will be rotten again so im just going to once and do it properly

I love my smooth boot, its got the light relocated on the si bumper.

It is a pain sometimes not having a wiper so best to keep it lol.
