Problem is I only have 1 front spring that works, and the coilover won't go as high as the standard shock.. thats what im getting at.

Ok so my mate said he got a quote of £60 for a shock rebuild from Gaz. Might be my only option tbh.
Will have to stick a standard spring on the front and sort of leave the car be, I don't want to drive it uneven.

Would it not come off with an impact gun or anything? I remember on my old fiesta when I was taking my spax off it to go on TTF, I fucked the nut up, then hammer and chiseled it to try get it off, just left it worse, go got my impact gun and it came off no problem lol.

Yeah we for it off with an impact gun but there was so much thread it wouldn't reach, so we had to.cut it down to get to the.nut.
It needs new discs and a service now lol

Hopefully its not raining tommorow so I can get my shock off and sent to gaz for its refurb. Hopefully have the car back in action earlu next week, there pretty quick and deliver next day, so shouldn't be without the car toooo long.

I also ditched my HIDs for clear "white" bulbs like I used to have, they have a slight blue tint. Fuck me I can't see anything Its like there not even there half the time. But at least i'm not blinding people and the main beam is good so I just drive with that when I can haha

Yeah HID's to nothing is strange. I go out in my mates car and its like 'ermmm are you lights on!?' My HID's dont blind people which is good, and they have a nice pattern to them Im so cool German kits FTW!

Tried getting the old shock off today, first the droplink wouldn't budge because I didn't take he weight off it.
its bent and the thread is fubared. But I have a tool to sort that.
I'm now at work and have to continue when I get home as its stuck on the drive, even with grips and a friend icannot for the lifebof me stop the shock spinning,trying so hard to get hold of an impact gun. Nightmare.
I finish at 10 and have to be up at 6, sucks! Can't even get the coilover shock back in the cup just so its rolling again

some parts have allen key holes or spanner fitments to stop the spinnin
its hard to type what i mean but there should be a way of you stopping the spinning so you can get a part off by usin another tool

I don't get you because I don't have that sort of coilover unfortuantely. But its sorted now!

Managed to knab an impact driver from someone across the road, bit of banging and it came off.
my problem now is getting the shock back into the (hub?) as its being an arsehole.
got all this fun to come again when my refurbed coilie comes back
