They aint slow revving, good little cars, the only thing I never liked about them was interior but they handle well and very tunable.

a nice saxo (ie not chav like 95% are) is a good car

Zetec S's do seem to vary! i have been in one that was quite quick standard, where as my sisters one was nothing to write home about :lol:

I do believe many Zetec-S's do have slightly better performance than stated most of the time, but still nothing amazing to which it is a general match for the VTR.

I do believe the Zetec-s has traction or stability control (can't remember which) which is a bonus but not a massive advantage as neither is putting masses of power down.

But as Elward will know the VTR is a lot cheaper to insure than the VTS/Zetec-S most of the time and from that stand point it is the right car to go for if on a budget but still want good performance.

ugh why is it that talk of vtr's on this forum is more popular than the actual fiesta?!

percy, please cut it down its about the Si on this sight, we all have opinions, clearly you like them along with elward, i obviously dont

but everytime i read somethign from you (percy) its mainly something about a saxo or C2

there is no harm in talking about other cars, we all mostly talk about fiesta's but since elward is buying a vtr and he brought up vtr im sure there is no harm in talking about it on this thread. Rather than make him feel crap about his next car id rather make him feel happy in his choice that he is gonna get a decent car.

well yes it is a fiesta si sight but people with any car can join if they have a passion for a ford fiesta nobody is unwelcome if so why are people with rs turbos on here if it a si site and u have got to relise the fact that ford is not always best i have a rs1800 and a vts will probaly piss all over it as a mate got one and its gone like the wind

but my rs1800 will beat anything pmsl

in all fairness most people have had or have owned a mk3 fiesta on this site it dont just have to be a si or ford infact but sometimes people do want to change car

are u going to have your fiesta all your life surely u are going change car 1 day and it wont always be a fez

The boys just summed up why this forum is so much more welcoming than others, yes we've all owned fords and fiestas but people fancy a change but all of us here are car enthusiast regardless of make and model.

You say that percy preaches french and saxos but then all you preach is a 1.8 is the best.

i came very close to buying my mates Zetec-s, but then i priced up insurance it was alot more than the VTR and ive talked to a few people who do alot of track days agree with me that the first stepping stone to going on track is something like a VTR, something to build on and build confidence.
