Just a small update really.

Got a few more bits painted today and took a few bits off to be painted too. Pics will do the talking!

Be prepared for a shockingly dirty engine bay!

You will notice alot of yellowy coloured spray/crap everywhere. That was due to a rusty coolant pipe - the one on top of the exhaust manifold, and it sprayed everywhere, lovely! Thats why the header tank is so skank too! Easily cleaned though

Bits that will be getting cleaned up and painted tonight/tomorrow.

Little update on the painting of bits. Havent done much if im honest, mainly the throttle body, painted some heads of bolts to give them a newer look than rusty old brown. This is only temp until stainless bolts are sourced later on.

Header tank is semi-cleaned. Going to re-do it later on tonight.

Also done the throttle cable bracket, throttle cable clip and one of the engine hooks.... thats about it!

Vinegar danny, try that overnight?

and I think you have to clog it up with quite a lot of rice.

Painted stuff looks good! Like everyone else I wish I knew how to take all the bits off and could have the car off the road long enough to do it!

Chris - I will try vinegar tonight as I went and bought some lol, didnt do bleach last night, totally forgot about it.. On the subject of painting bits, its just nuts and bolts. Get cracking! lol. Just dont see your mrs for one weekend, instead just take bits off and spray them

And Phil, that is strange!! I'll see what vinegar does, and bleach if that doesnt work lol.

dont know if it will work on your header tank like it did on mine but i once let mine soak in some toilet limescale remover over nite a couple of times and it turned out quite good after, only cost 99p for the bottle too
