Out of interest, im going to be doing my next engine while its out, what paint did you use to paint the engine fresh silver mate as there is much choice

Done a headgasket on a 1.0 micra with a few mates those chains are a bastad to time right when youve never done one b4, Ended up being one link out and running rotten, Got her set right in the end though and running like a whore on steroids!

Ade - got some VHT spray paint, takes up to about 500 degrees I think. Need to ensure it's got a good key to adhere to though, so a lot of degreasing needed, then sanding down, then a couple of coats after masking off everything you don't want it on. Bit of effort to get it right

Spunky - the timing chains are a piece of piss There's a black link that goes on the crank mark, and 2 silver ones which go on the marks on the cam sprockets. Job done You can see them on the pictures of the timing chain on the first page. If the link on the camshaft is right, the other 2 will be right and ensure the cams are in the right positions.
