regarding: Fusion fabrication water rail

Removal was ok but:

The union between water rail and rubber hose that goes into the thermostat housing?
The metal one?

I used grips on the union and twisted the water rail and rived it until it came apart.

Ive fitted the new rail.

Throw the revs up and water comes pissing out of that union!!!

How is this supposed to be secured? the new water rail seemed sloppy in there.. it fitted ok but i knew something would come out of it..?

AND the new water rail is if you ask me, a piss poor design in terms of aligning it with the mounting screws etc..

Anyway thanks to this new water rail im now loosing more coolant than i was before!!

Any help would be greatly appreciated, new union?!

If i dont get answer before 5.00 im walking to ford and slapping them around the chops with my old crusty bit of kit.

(didnt know the si had a pollen filter?! where is that then?)

bad news im afraid, just called our local hartwell ford.. comes as part of the water rail

quite fu*ked off now, gona go and try bend it into place if that doesnt work im gona end up using some sealant and then giving up on this car!

i'm sure si's don't have pollen filters aren't there on cars with aircon?

thats what i thought, but then again you would think it would have a filter of some description.. suppose thats why i get leaves and all sorts blown in through the vents..

needs investigating.. someone find a mouse..

cheers m8, i used the old union though and doesnt seem to be leaking if i have any trouble i'll use a jubilee clip
