MK3 Escort Estate
Information:
Very relluctant sale but due to lack of funds forced to sell.
It's a 1982 Ford Escort. 3 Owners from new. The owner before me literally dragged it out of a field were it wa sat for over 5 years.
It's been an on going project for me and the owner before. It was basiclly stripped right down.
Re sprayed, Rust spots treated.
Hunted around for the S1 kit and got it fitted. The rear bumper needs to be extended so on the wing it goes round properly other than that looks very tidy, obviously put all the decals on and that. Interior has been kept bog standard apart from the rear has been stripped out.
In the time i've had it theres been alot that's been replaced, i'll list below.
Front radiator & Hoses.
Brakes all round.
New full exhaust system.
Just orderd wiper motor because it packed up on me two weeks ago.
Spark plugs
Timing Belt.
Water pump.
Serviced regulary.
Spec:
Been replaced with xr3i enging, carb with twin webber, k&n air filter.
Generally speaking the car runs very well but obviously being an old car you feel all the bumps, alot of creaking and so on. The car is screaming out to be turboed. I've just run out of time/space & funds and can't carry on with the project.
I've got a price in the back of my head but i will just be playing by ear and taking offers, just to see what interest it does get. The car has been on show stands:
It's such a good shell to work with and if your handy with cars then i'd advise to turbo it
It's got MOT till july next year and tax for 6 months.
