I think hes goin 1.6 because of insurance. Although to 2 engines look pretty much the same. . .

my insurance on my 2.0 only went up by £80 a year, if you try need to insure they are really cheap for 2L fez's!

i was wondering the same thing dave, if a set of 1.8 105 spec cams would fit.

but then again the 1.6 valves are still to small anyways.

from the top you would have to remove the inlet mani to see the 20 marked on the back of the block. but as soon as the car is on a ramp you can see there is a massive space behind the engine.

i wouldnt risk it if it was me though and im not. i do plan on going to 2.0 power eventually ut when i can afford the insurance and the rest of the car is sorted out.

vosa are doing alot of checks atm around my area and i have seen them bringing loads of vehicles into an inspection area near my work.
