now my internettage is sorted again and im slightly more back to normal...how about a photo of the month revival. There are no themes to this. im sure for most of you it will be car related. feel free to get creative with lights/angles/effects

Basic Rules

1. Must be taken within the month of competition normally but this time because this is a revival thread anything that goes back to september will be accepted. however following competitions will be within the month of competition only.
2. No obscene material.
3. Try and keep it to a couple of entries each.
4. Last week of the month is votey time. finalists will be picked, week to vote..you know the drill.
5. Get snapping

yeah its cool dude. its mainly to make anyone with about 20 photos they like ramming them all in as entries. The first one however is awesome, thats made the final cut for voting already

believe you me...ive seen some utterly shocking shocking pictures. and before some smart shit points anyone in the direction of the gallery..ive taken some too it doesnt matter..its a bit of fun...chill and take a shot of something your really into. doesnt matter if its your car,random black and white portrait, wildlife... anything...

the reason for entries being public is for a couple of reasons. not only does it mean we can all see the entries..we can take inspiration from them..and in some cases offer a bit of advice how to do it better next time. also means if alot of people like something then they can comment on it and the person taking the shot can see how well recieved thier shot is.

i was having a go at light painting...now this picture is the most boring thing on the planet...by the time i got the settings and technique i liked the battery pack died. so its on charge and ill have another go.....and the winner for the most pony shot goes to......

nice tesco bag . . . . "every little helps" hehe

i never claimed it was a brilliant shot but that light was generated from 1 led light...ive got some coloured ones somewhere here...

is it just settings on your camera to do this? im not sure what ligh painting is?

you need a camera where you can manually adjust the shutter speed. ideally a setting called bulb or manual. which equates to one touch open one touch closed. if you can adjust the aperture normally represented as an F number that helps in getting light into the shot. its alot harder to go into the physics of it than it is to do it believe it or not.

essentially you need a tripod or a way of keeping the camera DEAD still. a camera where you can adjust all its settings. to make it do what you want. and a light source. torch, LED lamp. strobe flash unit if your feeling posh. even something like a bicycle lamp provided its reasonably bright will do.

so that picture above is actually alot darker than it is?
