Its a fail for now see what the pay is like next month and get a piper cat back, if I can find one second hand then bargain, don't like spending money on stuff brand new, £220 for a cat back!

Well i'm still not 100% sure on all the details as this was just a quick search through a few threads. Its all very confusing.

SS4 cams, which were the plan anyway.
Omex launch control and rev limiter. Set the rev limit to 7200
MSD Chip ( this is why I need the rev limiter as it gets rid of the limiter )
And a dreamscience map, I think there £350 it says on there website, didn't look at where there based though so maybe i'll find a local RR.

Then I have the exhaust system and i'm getting a puma ally inlet, (and its getting ported if possible).

Was speaking to someone on ZSOC last night and he had 141 with

Edit - 141 was on the standard rev limit as well

So its feasable. Lanch control you should hear the gunfire popping, someone had it and it was awesome

Those are just the engine plans.

Coilovers january, wheels and tyres febuary, if I haven't already got it cat back in the same month probably, Strut braces and polybushes the next month then performance starts.

Even If I don't get all of the bits done, then at least I know I could be hitting around 140 with the cams, exhaust and inlet
Might need some Big end bolts if I have a raised limiter as well I think

Yeah I should do really, sand off some of the surface rust, its just finding the time and getting it up on axle stands. I wanna get in the arches and underseal them

Yeah I am going to halfords today so I guess I could buy a pot, I do tend to leave my car for two or three days sat anyway as I work next door to my house so that'll give it time to dry right? Should I sand out the surface rust or leave it?

Oh and on the subject of FRP engines. this guy has a 172bhp 1.6 and the sound is sexual. Just sat there getting up to temp idling it just sounded lusssh. then when he drove off you could hear it for quite a bit and it was suchhh and nice noise

But that sort of power starts getting expensive and the bottom end had to be strengthened. i'll have the same cams though so should be able to at least get a sound everyone will like even if its not quite an FRP. Can't justify double the cost of my car on an engine when I can get the same power cheaper

i would rub the rust back and hammerite over it, it only takes 8 hours to dry so 3 days will be ample

Alright, Probably buy a pot of that today.Not idea when i'll have time to do it although thinking about it i'm babysitting a couple evenings soon, so i'll do it then (I don't like doing things like this around my parents, they always ask questions etc. )

Exhaust looks similar spec to mine.

Just don't increase the power too much, would hate for you to have to put some higher octane petrol in.
