just wondering as im buying an engine stand to make things easier wen doin stuff to the 2.0 engine but wanted to know what weight limit ill need

im pretty sure the book weight on a zetec is around 120 kilos.

I just got my SR20 off the engine stand with everything on and my god that thing must weigh well over 200kg's!

crate engines according to the massively reliable wikipedia is 168..bear in mind thats with manifolds on etc. and in the case of aircon and some of the mounts used in mondeos are like cast iron behemoths. maybe 140 on something like a fiesta, ive lifted a engine less manifolds and alt bracket out of a van before and not pushed my bum out unless i got mixed up..fuck it..go duratec...one gorrila sized man can lift those buggers up complete on his own like a giant cavemans handbag
