Not you guys. The guys who made the new catalytic converter. Ever so slightly too short, ever so slightly too kinked and not straight enough.

There was me thinking fitting an exhaust could be a bit of a pain, especially not on a car lift/ramp. So I've been fighting with it for god knows how long thinking it was just a pain. It hit me so hard earlier that after all the hard work getting nowhere I almost cried. 4 damn days.

Awkward on a jack isn't it :( No room to get any decent leverage.

Does it match your old cat or is it visibly different? If it's that much different, take them both back to where you go them and show the differences. They might have the wrong one sent in...

Bash out the insides from your old cat and live with that instead?

That one has already gone. The emissions were failing horribly so it needed replacing. Gonna look for a lambda sensor.

Turns out the whole cat, mid and back box are incorrectly made. The cat at the midsection end is too short by 2-3 inches. The rear hangar bar on the mid section is too far forward and the back box end of the mid section is too short again. The 'shortness' is correct everywhere, as the positioning has been correctly made.

So out comes steel epoxy in putty and liquid form to start sealing it. I'm also taking a drill to the damn thing and adding bolts!
