How many cans of paint? I'm guessing two of the colour you want, a can of primer and a can of laquer?

what sort of filler should be used on the kurb marks? or will normal body filler do?

Nah thats for all 4, and the filler he used as stated of P40 Metal filler.

thats not alot of paint, works out very cheap then, i gotta practice alloy to hava go on, ill have white wheels soon enough lol

I would say 1 500mm can of primer, you want at least 1 300mm can per wheel of colour and 2 cans of 500mm laquer. That will get you the best result.

Depending on how bad your wheels are will decide how much primer you need, you only really need to prime the fillered areas. if there nice and clean one quick coat would do. You want at least 3-4 coats of colour a wheel to get the colour depth and id say 3-4 coats of laquer to protect the wheels from stone chips etc.

Most motor factors do paint alot cheaper than halfords

500mm primer in factors is about £4.50 halfords is like £7
same for laquer

300mm paint about £3.50 halfords is like £5-6

I used to use this much paint when i did wheels. Now use a compressor and buy 500mm of colour and use spray gun etc, paint goes alot further this way

Cost for a compressor? I've seen cheap ones on ebay but im guessing you get what you pay for,

what sort of motorfactors? like random shops? I don't understand that phrase

i want a compressor, iv had loads of stuff that needs spraying. do you get a better finish with it?

Yeah much better finish, you tend not to get much orange peel like you do when you use a can, Plus you can set the pressure/paint application different on the gun which you cant with the can. Paint goes alot further, My last wheels i used less than 500ml of paint and gave each wheel a good 3 coats. cant get that from a tin
