Alright guys a bit of advice needed. I'm no mechanic and I have no experience in welding. I have rust on my arches and the one sill. I've had a quote from my mechanic of £400 for new arches and sill - fitting and painting it all afterwards. Is this a reasonable price for the work. I want to learn how to do it but at the moment I don't have time.

That is reasonable, i have been quoted £1200 before to do 2 sills lol

that does sond very cheap, iv been quoted more than that just to paint my bonne and bumper lol

Great price. People normally get around £300 for 2 arches and painted with there Zetec - S's. There rare though some people complain about £5-600. So yes, I'd say its a good price that you won't get much better.

cheers guys, my mechanic is a reasonable bloke and i've gone to him since passing my test but wanted to check with others on here about this price.
