What a fecking day from lunch to sunset!

The bumper was a nightmare, screws were solid and one of the passenger side threads bent and the nut stuck fast so i cut the bastard to get it off, bumper must have taken about 2 hours and a bit to get off, plenty of mangled fingers and swearing and tool throwing lol, it will do until i get another bumper, i also sort the valance and have the breathers aside for cleaning

Breather equipment off, the air box bottom and the chassis was covered in oil gunk crap very thick got it up to red again :)

Then got the front valance wire brushed and hammerite'd two coats

Might try and clean the threads and get new nuts, christ that was mental!! :doh:

Got a quote today for new rear arches and fuel filler cap sprayed up £400 + panel prices

Got new wheel arch bumper screws forgot to ask about the bumper doh!

Good News!!! NOT!!

Got paid today and Rob went over the car and the Sills although ive now painted over them were put on top of bad ones and the rear of the shell rob was peeling away and putting his hand through where the axle is attaching

So he has advised me its gonna be big £££ work to the shell and considering i paid £450 for it im afraid its not gonna be rescuable, unfortunately the last bit of work it seems was just holding it together even though the front is pretty mint :(

So come December 19th it'tl be sorn and stripped of the Good engine, Gearbox and other parts before being filled up for scrap value :cry:

Very annoying as i was actually starting to like this car and having fun in being able to work on it, but its not economical apparantly to save a car thats this far gone, so going to use it to runaround til MOT time and take care of the engine etc

I feel bad that i can't save it but its just too much money for rust

Really sorry to hear this mate, but if she was bought as a cheap runabout its pointless spending £££ on her I suppose.
