Im looking to replace the boot on my xr2i as the current one is rotten as

I know the mk3.5 doesn't have lines on the bottom and the boot popper comes from the top not on contacts from the bottom

Is the boot popper interchangeable?

I have come across a mk3.5 bootlid the same colour as the xr2i, but obviously not being a mk3.5 boot the boot popper contacts are on the bottom not a wire in the top?

Is it worth going for it for £20?

If not i'll have to hold on for a mk3 boot

Get it and just attach a cable to pop your boot instead.

you can route the wire into the bootlid instead...its a bit of a twat to be honest..but non rotten mk3 fiesta boots are a rare find thesedays...id do it and alter the wiring

Just transfer you boot popper and contact plate from you old boot into the new one = job done

Yes mate, take you boot popper out of your old boot, take the contact plate out and transfer the wiring, contact plate and popper into you new boot. Simpler that running new cable in fron the top
