fitted my 60mm springs at the weekend and took the si out for a drive, all wheels are rubbing on the arches (standard wheels)
and the exhaust is hitting on the bolt for the rear damper, again a standard exhaust.

any suggestions? or shall i just attack the arches with a grinder and tvvat a dent in the exhaust?

Nah yeah,lower profile tyres or roll/grind the arches
as for the exhaust is it constant or just on bumps? Might need rehanging or something. If not then why not dent it lol
Man you've made me so jealous! Icant wait to get coilovers :D

yea it looks much better lowered now, ill get some pics up when ive got a min

the exhaust only knocks it when i shake the tail-pipe from side to side..... dont ask me why i was doing that though lol ;)

i need to cut the rear springs though as its not low enough at the back

dont cut them dude, very dangerous. if you want it lower then look into getting either coilovers or having your current springs compressed!!

Had the wheels off tonight and found where it's rubbing, fronts are on the small bit of wing right at the top of the arch that holds the plastic inner arch in place.... Cut that off, and just where the top of the bumper joins the wheel arch extension thingy.... Chopped away

the rears are rubbing again on the top of the bumper, chopped right back now so she should be ok now :)

use to have cut springs on the the rat bus and 106 and they wernt as bad as people thought ;) its not the best idea to cut springs but if donw right there ok and arent always an mot failure, mine went through cos they was safe :D

I forgot how to compress them.
Don't you attatch a mig welder to one to get it really hot, and squeeze the spring to your desired hight?

You heat them with oxy acetlin, get them hot and squwish them :)
