good work

I had to bend the top of the passenger door back in today as I was getting the sound of wind when I was driving.
Looked at the doors and the passenger one was not even against the black rubber.
When the car went up on 2 wheels it must have bent the door.
Unwound the window and eased the metal back a bit and its all fine now

Also found a nasty crack in the trim by the back seat which I have a picture of.
Anyone know how that comes off as the crack has caused the ashtray to disappear into the body of the car

iirc you'd beed to remove the rear seats so you can get at it properly and then its a case of unscrewing bits i think

does sound like the impact was a bit harder than you thought

well its al easy stuff to fix so its nothing major thankfully.

new inner and outer sill on the drivers side for the MOT, retest mon or tue hopefully, then inner sill the other side,

new rear arches! just how far

good to hear on both cars

so little bit of an non update but have rewired the fogs on my car as the one with the melted fuse board had then melted the wire casings and the metal was touching metal and blowing all the fuses.
Temporarily electrical taped and working again until I get the replacement.

Wiper motor has jumped ship and hasn't got the power to move the wiper blade without aid (most of the time it just drops and looks like a dogs tail) so picked up a replacement today and will be fitting that into it soon.
Replaced my broken wing mirror and the passenger electric window now works all the time not intermittently. No thats moved to the drivers side now....
Rewired the alternator again as it burnt through the wiring again!
This time it has had a lot of heat wrap all over the wires so that hopefully will solve the issue.

My brother also attacked my car without me realising and I had red lighting in the footwell for a while till I put my foot into the bulb

Wasn't massively hard no.
I was only doing 20mph and the car stalled and it locked up and slid into the curb/post.
Started up reversed back and drove home fine bar the feeling of having the front wheels fighting each other

I normally don't drive in this weather but when I left my house in the morning there was no snow and it hit when i got to guildford so I turned around and went back home.

Hmm well as some of you know this car now has rust eating one of the front wings.
Got it treated just with the k rust stuff at the moment tuesday is going to be the day it goes up and gets attacked.

Found out my dad will help with welding the wing as it's something he has done, jobwise in the past.

Tbh though I'm at the end with this car. I love it when it runs as it's so nice and it always starts and just goes (knackered alternator/wiring etc)
I won't tell you of the figure I'm currently standing at in repairs to this car, needless to say I could have got a zetec s.

Look at it this way in 1 year I have done:
New alternator
Re wired sections of the electrics by the alternator where exhaust burnt through them
All pulleys (bar waterpump) replaced
New drive belt
New alloys and gyres
Tracking 3 times
New suspension
New bonnet
New bumpers
New foglight
New interior
3 different sets of backlights
New bulbs and fuses
New side repeaters
2 new wing mirrors
Replaced axle
Replaced ARB
Replaced steering rack
Replaced rear wiper motor
New windscreen
I've also worked on the sills under the car and in the doors.

It's just enough now. Need a month were the car doesn't have an issue.
