i dont like goin past 5500rpm as im sure you all know its peak power but check this guy out i found on youtube:

also while i was just browsing around i saw this fiesta go off the clock, its in km/h but i presume they still finish at 140mph or 150mph:

mines seen 6k+ loads of times and still runs mint, went up to 7k a couple of week back with no sign of a limiter so dno wen that kicks in

Going about 6k is fine as you drop when you change but past that its pointless, unless you own a C2 :lol:

I revved my Si once to over 7000 accidentally when overtaking once. I might have just hit the limiter as I changed gear it jumped out of gear and into the other one without much effort :lol:

Thrasing on the limiter all the time isn't so good though, but its got a limiter for a reason

Civics rev to like 8000-9000rpm?

Mazda rx-7/8's rev to 9000rpm as well.

I get a final little power kick just before 5000 then just after 5000 there is nothing else to gain so I change. Usually keep her below 4000 day to day tho :thumbsup:

mines just 0 rpmday to day lol, its only weekends it gets drove and then it barley moves lol

depends, a 1.6 i wouldn't bother past 5500rpm, 1.8 or 2.0 can rev to 7 with mods but it all depends on the engine really.

My ST pulls to 7200rpm

My Si had a limiter on just over the 7500rpm line :lol:

It's not a nice limiter

It doesn't bounce like a proper limiter. It's just like you've hit a brick wall :look:

i have no rev gauage so i have no idea what i'm rev'ing to :red:

my 2.0'd si was rev'd to 7k once and never again :cry:

i reckon that 1st vid, the Si might be cam'd etc

least with my megasquirt i'll get a proper limiter with some pop and bangs :halo:

cookie456the2nd got his old si off the clock at over 140mph with the erst box ive had 136mph and it had more to go, rev wise i cant remember its been so long

no not yet, and the rev limiter drops to 6800ish in 3rd and 4th but 7200rpm in 1st and 2nd :hmm:

it's strange how limiters differ.

If you want to drive mine properly it's the limiter or near damn it each time so that you constantly land in vtec mode. I aim to change around 9200 on the clocks, limiter kicks in at 9500 exactly, but the real limiter is at 8700 so that shows how far out they are.

depends where the power bands are on the Si engines?

yeah pumaspeed say max power on their kits is 6800 so i change there usually :lol:
