Getting there.


Cleaning plastics info, ie cleaning header tank, washer bottle, brake fluid reservoir.

Get small grain rice, (uncooked), block up pipe holes, put rice into header tank, squirt some cillit bang in (well...alot), add a splash of water, and shake it baby!!!!

Make sure you get into all sections, shake some more and then rinse and repeat if required. Finally make sure all rice is out!!!


As im sure phil will tell you, this thing looked like it had been through a war. Now it looks like new.

nice work mate shame about the cam belt.

Its good to see a thread on fitting the black top as you dont see meany about not in any detail any way.
Nice idea with the rice i used to use a big jar of nuts and bolts but the rice gets into all the nooks and crannies better than the nuts and bolts.

Hope to see you back up and running mate.

Heres what ive got to put together











-2.0 Blacktop bottom end, brand new genuine ford
-st170 inlet manifold
-stainless exhaust manifold and downpipe, 4-1
-st injectors/fuel rail

Also recently rebuilt my driveshafts with new inner and outer joints.

Cant wait to get together!

-Brand new 2.0 head, new crank pulley

Managed to get my timing belt covers for free from a customer i supply to at work to!
My manual adjust timing tensioner turned up too

MLS head gasket/bolts/headset are waiting for me at work too.

So basically almost time to built it up.
