i can list the faults with my st

1: steering lock is ridiculous!
2: low gearing sucks
3: power steering design
4: restrictive as standard

good points:

1: gearbox, love it
2: responsive little bugger
3: ample handling
4: torque is good
5: good sound system much better then rob's phase 1

i get people saying the same shit to me. why do you own a 1.1?, why do you own a 15 year old car?, why did you pay £350 to get it through the mot, why didnt you just scrap it?




But i love the car! and love the fact it gets more attention than these kids with brand new cars

Forgot to say before, as much as you say its about saving 1p, for me it has for far saved approx £2500 in owning a C2 rather than an ST.

agreed on the old cars being better than the new cars spoilt brats get! i live in an area where there is the rich and average. im the average half lol, in college, there was a first year who had a brand new 59 plate (at the time) ford focus zetec 1.8 in white. thought he was the D's B's mate. used to get a valet in the college car park with his mates bmw 1 series.

but cars such as the retro mini, my si and others used to get way more attention.

I like being in the middle at the moment, It's not new and its not old. its comfy and i'll be warm quicker in the winter. Thats about the only problem I see with old cars!

I wasn't just talking about the seats, I have adjustable seat height, full adjustable steering wheel, air con, electric windows, electric mirrors, cruise control, auto wipers, auto lights (focus only on the last 3).

As for seats I don't think my C2's are any better or worse than my Si's was, but there is many other things which go into it which make it a more comfortable car. As for recaros, is it just me who doesn't rate them for comfort... yes great for a track but not long journeys.

I do agree older cars have more character as most newer cars are all starting to merge into one, which is another thing I like about the C2 and Citroen, there not affriad to be different, but thats what they have always been about really.

With that of course a newer car costs more and in general can have more things which can go wrong and you can't fix yourself.

Either way if people don't buy new cars there will be no old cars for you...
