I'm looking at getting Oil Temp and Oil Pressure gauges sometime in the next week or two, via a sandwich plate to give me a reading... (not exact but it will give me a good idea)

What gauges do you run, did you buy any ebay jobbies or spend a ton on Defi/Apexi gauges etc?

alex has defi's in his cossie! they cost a bomb tho , but they look cool as feck

ive got some pikey autogauges to fit to the cossie, until i can afford some defi's

I've got Black AutoMeter oil pressure and oil temperature gauges if you'd be interested

I bought them from James, heeman10, over on fiestaturbo.com for my FRST but never got round to fitting them

Also got a Black AutoMeter boost gauge and an unnamed ACT gauge if you'd be interested now your going for b000000000st

i brought a cheap digital oil temp gauge of ebay and seems to work fine, another way rather than a sandwich plate is to fit a sump plug with a 1/8" adaptor in it (as link) which matches the temp gauge sensor and tap pressure of existing oil pressure switch

Oil temp and oil pressure are the most useful guages evaaaaa! It's surprising how long it takes for your oil to warm up enough. And pressure is useful as you can spot when something's not quite right.

Defi's are awesome bits of kit, shame you need to controller unit as well as the guages Uber dosh.

Yeah, you'd think that a car like a high revving vtec that is so delicate to oil levels and temp wouldn't have an oil temp light as standard...

I think I've seen some defi setups for sale around the 300 to 400 mark on the dc2 forums previously.

i think he means an OBD port scanner thingy

you know you hold the stalk inturn the ignition on and it gives u gauge sweep etc, has an engine temp reading

Oh right does the FST not have an oil temp reading as standard then? odd! I thought all new cars did, but then I don't know much about new cars, nevermind 'cars' in general
