i know what you mean mate, a 182/190 kit is a quick car and cheaper, so it would make sense but thats very "percy" going for the cheaper sensible option than the madness of turbo

But then if i did that before that would be like getting a Focus and rather than tune it put a V12 engine in it

no i was reading the thread from when i had my blue ST, and percy was fine, then i got this one and noticed the tone change to the level of arguing and percy seeming to be offended by my car when i saw that i was genuinely interested to see why his opinion changed, not starting to argue again

Nothing has changed in particular, if you wish to own one you carry on.

I do think the build quality arguement has been lost by the ST now.

To be honest my point never had been people buying an ST, its been closed minds while buying cars, eg you looked at fords range and bought an ST, I looked at many manufacturers and didn't end up with an ST. Now if you had looked at other cars (not ford) you may not have bought an ST, that doesn't mean you would have a C2, but there is others.

I look at what I want and make a selection cars then compare, you look at all fords and pick the best for the job.

Eg

small car the final 3 where:
Fiesta ST
Citroen C2 VTS
Suzuki Swift Sport

Your only choice was
Fiesta

the bigger car:
Citroen C4
Ford Focus
Pergeot 307

Your only choice was:
Focus

By all means not all fords are bad, but its foolish to assume they are the best all the time too. By all means the reasons we want cars varies hence why different results will happen as I am more than aware we don't all want the same things, but I can justify my choices with reasons why I bought a certain car over others, where you main reason is that was the right size in the ford range.

I question the loyality to Ford, what have they ever done for you? brand loyality in any situation just cuts your options and potentially gets you worse products/higher costs.

you cant really say the build quality is poo on them i know people who have had no problems then people who have alot of problems same with any car manufacturer people say vauxhall is crap then my old mans corsa has done 138,000 in 2 and a half year being a driving instructor and the only thing to go wrong is a lambda. maybe adam doesnt like to venture from ford i gotta be honest not many french cars appeal to me only the rallye both visually and performance. i think you both need to just agree to disagree as it is a endless arguement.

As I say I have been challenging the choosing method rather than the choices themselves and I really do ask the question why be loyal to ford? (or any other manufacturer)
