Update

Spent an hour or so after work on the bonnet this evening and have knackered myself or at least my arm but improved it somewhat from what it was, although not perfect think it would require a proper mopping machine!

Anyway didnt take a picture of the bonnet first hand but roof looks same so took a pic of that to give you an idea of what it looked like and a picture of the bonnet afterwards

Note to self i hate polishing, i really need to pay someone to do it for me as i struggle to get it right!

You can see round the washer jets and the edges/top edge of bonnet where the old dull colour and stain was where its hard to polish it

Nice one mate, done a real good job there!

what did you use? i swear by Autoglym Super resin polish. Does this to your paint.

Well i don't know any detailers in my area but i suppose when i have the money i can search

Ive been thinking of alloys for mine actually, i need some wider wheels for it if possible as the current wheels spi up and lose traction on anything but a dry road

i think once you've got the paint sorted and that you keep on top of it will be plain sailing just look after it. when i bought my car it was pink my brother spent about 6 hours on it and then i just wash it weekly then clay, polish and wax monthly to keep it looking red

Got a red door for the XR2i but i really am now out of money, completely So will have to wait until i get some money again to pay someone to fit it lol
