Hello all ill explain the situation first lol. I have a N reg fiesta mk 3.5 . It had a 1.1 engine in it but we have removed this and replaced with a 1.6 zetec. I need to know what engine loom to run as i have a xr2i 1.8 16v ecu so the ecu has no pats. I removed the old 1.1 engine loom but it has 2 big plugs that go into the body loom. Is one of these big plugs for the pats??? Can i use the xr2i 1.8 engine loom or a si 1.6 loom. Any help would be grateful cheers!!!

xr2i 1.8 loom? do you mean the rs1800 loom?

with out looking at it i would presume, plug the 1.6 loom in and make sure the wires are the same but you have to change the interiour loom as i think the 1.1 has less wires on the 2 multi plugs

when i fitted the zetec to my mk2, alex and myself had to cut and splice my 16v Si loom into the 1.1 mk2 loom

if i'm right in thinking you'd need to sort out an ignition relay and a fuel pump relay and by pass the pats!like we had to for my mk2, i'll see what i can dig up for you

edit -

zetec conversion into a 1.6 8v 2i

its best to have all 1.6 si parts including loom and ecu i dont think a 1.8 ecu will work.
