Hi has anyone had any probs getting there 2.0 through a emmisions test? if so can any one give me any pointers on how to lower the emmisons ive tried servicing and a new cat.

When you say service I assume you did a full oil change.

Seems odd its not getting through, is it failing massively or marginally?

marginally and yes i did a full oil change, i know quite a few of my mates have had probs as well they have got around it by having dodgy mots i do not want that for my car as i dont like being illegal.

As long as you have a standard zetec cat on and everything else is as it should be.. eg. working/running correctly

Then there should be no reason why it shouldnt pass.

when you say failed on emissions what did it fail on CO, HC or both? do you know the actual readings? i didnt have any problems with mine, looking at the test sheet it passed by miles fast idle CO % max limit CO 0.200 mine actual 0.016, HC max 200ppm actual 18. other thing could be Lambda sensor faulty??
