Up for sale is my Mistubishi Starion,
Bought as a project. Now my situation means I need a more sensible/economical car!
M.O.T'd for 12 months.
Taxed for 6 months.
I have been restoring the car for 18 months and the following work has been carried out:-
Engine:
Full Rebuild
Re-Bore to suit 1st stage oversize
Skimmed head (light)
Eagle H Beam Rods
Ross Racing Pistons + New rings
Clevite 77 Big end bearings
Clevite 77 Main bearings
All gaskets replaced
All Belts Replaced (mostly with Goodyear Gator Back)
Tensioner replaced
New battery, with warranty
Waterpump replaced (OEM)
Radiator fully refurbished with custom core
Intercooler piping increased to 2" and routing improved
Various Silicone joiners
Pipercross cone filter houses AFM
Turbo inlet housing rotated to allow piping route.
Rocker Cover + Inlet manifold Powdercoated orange.
Engine has done approx 200 miles since rebuild so is in break in period and has not been above 3500rpm.
Twin exit exhaust, no cats, just mid silencer (Loud).
Engine starts and runs well. I have been on a few journeys and the engine has run very well. The fan works as it should and the temperature stays where it should.
The engine idle is temperamental, and sometimes you need to catch it with the pedal (Idle adjuster/Idle Valve?). There is evidence of an oil leak from the back of the sump area, that i've not had time to investigate.

Real carbon fibe sheet interior trim (Centre console)
Interior:
The interior is full leather, in fair/good condition as can be seen in photos. There has been a repair made to the drivers seat bolster (photo) and there are a couple of minor marks here and there nothing that wouldn't clean up. I am not including the gear knob in the picture but will replace with the original Starion one. All of the buttons and levers seem to work although the cruise control is untested.
Bodywork:
The bodywork is in good condition for it's age.
The car had a full respray before I bought it, in its original red colour. Unfortunately the paint has produced micro-blisters over several panels, although you cannot see them unless very close. You can feel them. Otherwise there are a few minor bubbles on the front lip of the bonnet and on the side skirts. It has a few small marks/scratches (very smal dent on wing, and scratch on Pas door).
Chassis:
Generally good condition, Undersealed.
The car had 2 small holes welded on the sills, and 1 area of the subframe mounting welded for the M.O.T.
