Hi there basically my cousin and me are building a rat look sleepered fiesta mk 3.5 . I have a L reg mk5b escort convertible with the 1.6 16valve zetec engine fitted. How do i go about fitting this into the mk 3.5 fiesta which did have a 1.1 in it. I know all about fitting engine etc its just what happens about the pats system,if i just use the escort ecu and engine loom??? Will it run??? Any help wood be helpful cheers guys!!!

ill make the escort one fit not bothered bout the rear mount as of yet just need to know if its gonna run or not?? Its the pats sytem i need to know if i use escort ecu and engine loom if it is gonna start up??

escort has internal pats so i dont think so mate

what bout if i use escort key etc and the pats piece that goes around ignition barrel

You will need to use the escort wiring loom aswell if its built in pats. Will be a ball ache, Just get a 1.6 si ecu then you dont need to worry about pats as there external or just bypass it altogether

how easy is it to just bypass the pats wont take too long to swap for whole escort loom as we dont have electric windows,central locking,stereo,just need engine and lights and the dials really... how easy is it to bypass the pats system??

i blew my old 1.1 up and just got the 1.3 engine from an escort and took the old 1.1 out and dropped the new 1.3 in. didnt chsnge nothing round except from the engine lol. started and ran straight away.

You should use a fiesta si engine loom and ecu, Prob get them both for about £40. Then the pats will be controlled by the key you use at the moment. Or as has been said use the key/pats reader and loom ecu from the escort. If you wanna know how to bypass the pats completly PM me
