wheel bearings and ball joints are a piece of piss to do mate. can do them ya self with some hand tools. good luck though fella cant see it failing on hardly anything except from the things you no about.

I know my car will fail, if its just minimal things then i will try and sort it myself but anything big then I will get the garage to do it because i want to attend the north meet no matter what lol

i no its amazing how mnay people throught the country has an si. i dont think that there is that many left? the si is a dieing breed.

there is quite a few but not all owned by enthusiasts. I always see loads of them on ebay, I prefer the look of them over the other mk3 models, in standard form they look fairly tame but with a few mods they get completely transformed. Just cant wait ti get a 2.0 in to match the looks.

just lowering an si by 35mm trasnforms it completly into something brilliant and looks a whole lot better. lol yeah i think that the mk5/6 fiesta zetec back bumpers are like the front si bumpers. trying to do a modern si.

i can see what you mean, i thought that. It definatly made way for the mk4 fiesta and all the 1995 onwards style like the mk2 mondeo all had similar rounded bumpers.

yh exactly. there still quite stylish now if you look at them against a modern car.

The thong im not so keen on new cars is there is no bonnet on them due to it being safer to run people over, god knows what these safety people would think today about a capri lol.

Well it had its mot today and shockingly it passed but with a few advisories which are:
1. both rear tyres close to legal limit (i kinda expected it)

2. Rear exhaust has minor leak of ehaust gases

3. Nearside and Offside front anti roll bar linkage has play in ball joint

4. Front and rear brake pipes are slightly corroded

Hopefully will get all this sorted in the next few weeks but atleast i can come to the north meet.

Are the front anti roll bar linkage ball joints easy to sort out?

New drop links aren't too expensive or hard to do.

Seems you got away lightly!

the drop links for the anti roll bar are nice and easy to do just 2 bolts eachj side. well done mate pleased to hear that she passed.
