i wouldnt of thought it woud be easy mate becaue youll have to change the bracket from your engine to house a air con pump find out what aux belt ya need i dont think its poss due to the limitations in the engine bay. mate. sorry cant be more help.

it would probly be possible to do but it will cost a hell of a lot of money to do, try an escort as some of them had ac on them and its the same engine if its a zetec, but you will have to mount the pump the right way as the belt goes in the opposite way on the escort and it will zap power from your engine

isn't there any aftermarket kits available?? like you see from the likes of overhaulin' and pimp my ride over in the usa, they have air con kits that bolt behind the dashboard but don't know how its connected lol!

The German eBay has standard kit for AC, autolights and autowipers. Just never fitted over here.

Spend the money on 2litring it then when you go quicker with the window down it will feel cooler lol.

I thought fords must have done it somewhere, or thought of it.

I noticed when i changed the heater control on mine, there is a 5 piece connecter, but on mine only 4 slots are filled with connectors. So i guess on the german ones there are 5 connectors and their heater control must push in or something to activate a.c.

Have you got a link mate? I tried looking but i couldn't understand the language lol. I could find the a.c. pump for mk3 fiesta, but no kits :S

I could have done it sooner, but i thought shall i have a 2.0 which is dirty for ford fair, or keep the 1.6 in and have a extremely shiny car for ford fair - Just keep the bonnet shut

Ok, i have found 2 different types of air conditioning dryers for mk3 fiestas, and they both fit the fiesta xr2i 16v zetec, which will be the same as the Si
And i found a belt.
But that's it lol
I think pipes and radiators and things are needed too

Good luck on finding the proper parts.

The MK3's in Spain etc has aircon.... instead of powersteering.

So there is obviously an issue of having both, eg. cant be done, otherwise ford would have done it.

The Aircon pump on my mondeo is tiny, I reckon with abit of fabrication I could get aircon working in a fiesta.... but I dont see the point IMO.

Fit a MK5 dash & heated box conversion and fit the MK5 stuff.... that would be best!

Looks as if that pic is very compressed. But you can roughly see that the heater control looks alot different to what we are used to.
