I recently bought goatys fiesta 2l si as i was looking for a blue si. The plan was never to keep most of it but use the shell and the coilovers and combine that with parts i already had from previous cars etc. Havent got any pics at the moment as comp has a virus and im using works one but as soon as its fixed ill upload some in its current state.

Its not my everyday car, it will be used as a bit of fun and hopefully some track days in the next few months.

Current spec so far

Gaz coilovers
2l mondeo bottom end, stage 3 1.8 head with kent racing cams and vernier pulleys, st170 head gasket, the combination will give a higher compression which is what i was aiming for
R1 bike carbs with re-drilled jets, R1 bike pump and a custom alloy inlet manifold
Megajolt ignition system running edis 4. Map sensor used not TPS
Stainless 4 branch manifold inc decat and powerflow 2" bore system

Engine is near enough ready to be started just need to secure fuel pump in place and solder a few wires.

Still to do/have all the bits just need some time

Cossy 285mm front brake conversion
Front rear strut braces
Fit recaro front seats and harnesses
Convet to manual windows
Fit longer wheel studs and spacers
16" OZ superleggras with 195/45/16 tyres
Paint and fit rear roll cage.

Hopefully be done in the next 2 weeks and as soon as gay comp is sorted ill uplad the pics

Comments and suggestions welcome

Front and rear strut braces, roll cage and rocker will be this colour, was looking at those hoses for sale recently but thought it would be bit green lol. Plus there not my top priority at them moment as i have a FRST thats getting treated to a 2.1zvh when this ones finished.

i'm biased about the colour :D :chill:

i did also look into dropping an 1.8 head onto my 2.0 Si, but never got round to it as i bought my saph

with the rise in compression and the carbs its going to shift :chill:

Sounds like a nice plan, I was going to do something similar with the 2.0ltr in the Pickup.

I had the bike carbs, pump, inlet, and was just about to get the ignition sorted before I gave up on the shitter

Will be good to see / hear ;)

Cheers guys, spent quite a while looking into things and wanted to be slightly different than the normal 2l injection route. Ive some of these bits fitted to a differnt car in the past and it worked well as a 1.8 so should be good with the head/block mixture

Spent a few hours on the car today and got a few bits done. Dont have and pics really of what it looked like when i got it.

Some progress pics. didnt take any before i fitted the head and carbs.

Going to keep standard manifold and decat for time being as i cant be bothered to take out rad/fan, starter and alt to fit my 4 branch as it wont pass the engine with these bits in place.

Fule pump mounted to gearbox/going to fab a bracket in metal when its up and running but for now using the std bike rubber one

Wired in the ecu and edis etc. Ecu in glovebox for time being

Ditched airbag wheel for a Momo one i got recently

Thought it would be a shame to cover up the verniers so modded the top timing belt cover

Couple of questions if you guys know the answer. And a favour

What wheel bolts should i be using with the OZs as ive got the standard ford alloy ones on ther and they seem to fit ok or should i be using the bolts with built in collar that come with most aftermarket wheels?

Where to buy 10mm spacers for between the axle and stub axle or a wheel spacer kit with longer bolts?

And the favour, could someone kindly let me know which wires on the car loom plug are for the oil pressure switch/oil light. Water temp sensor to gauge and the rev counter feed or if some one has the wiring diagram. Looked in haynes cut couldnt see the plug as i want to reconnect these as loom i made for the edis/megajolt doesnt have it at present

Cheers for reading/comment and opinions welcomed

eibach are the best spacers for 10mm as i found that they have added bolts inset in them otherwise the normal stand alone ones take hell of alot of your standard ones. they are in haynes manual mate as i had to find them for my Rs if not look on fiesta guides.

I found in the haynes manual what wire connects to the back of the clocks but i was wondering which wires it is on the grey plug. I think ill just do a buzz test from the blocks to the plug to find it. are the eibach one for the wheel or between axle and stub axle? Where to get them from?

Good work mate,

With regards to the wiring on the clock plugs, look up in the guides section with one for mk5 clocks into mk3, I had the wiring diagrams on that ;)

Looks good mate, although I would remove the panel on the bulkhead to let some better airflow to the carbs :)
