seen this little beauty on the way to the cinema to see predators, lovely little XR2

matts bought my 280mm brakes off my mk4 and since mine on the Si were incredibly low on meat, i decided to make him a deal for the brakes coming off his puma, 240's still but they were nearly new and were ok for time being, unfortunately seems my Si's calipers have seizing pistons, so i couldnt reuse them and put matts calipers on all together, anoying as i had to bleed them then

Shagged!

most subtle colour i can think of, that i had also :P

today then i decided that as im gonna break most of the mk4's 'good' bits ill need some room, so had to let some of my stash go
cleared out most of the back yard
the boot and back seats almost filled :oooh:
Image

mostly left over parts form the engine conversion on the mk4, so the 1.3 rad, engine mounts, manual rack and piping, also the Cat

after that, DanP from fiesta-Si.com/Fg come through with his 260mm brakes so i went to cardiff to see him and collect them, either Zetec S or Rs2000 items, doesnt really matter both fit with no changes
will be popping these on soon as, ill have my grandad's mate pop them on his laethe and skim them, ill check the pistons are ok, if so paint them up and pop them on in the day, matts coming back over for Day three of his brakes upgrade, last of the braided lines :aviator:
hsi puma should stop like shit hitting a wall now

Day 3 of brakes

but started off with my speakers, robbed the componants from the mk4 as it wont be needing them anytime soon

my adapters came today
Image
Image

only place i could think of at the time, now i think maybe behind the metal infront of the glass would be better, but i dont know how to secure it, might try getting some velcro strips
Image

Image
Image

and the rear adapters come too, bit shit these though aint a clue how theyre meant to fit
it said 13cm speakers will fit the rear speaker mounts using these but, theyre too big, kinda wedged them in for now, ill try taking the supports off one day and fit them right
Image
Image
Image

both sides front and back were done, gladly its much beefier now, tons more base and the tweeters help even it out :Q

now the brakes, picked these up yesterday buit was like 11pm when i got in so didnt have time

Image
Image
Image

aaaand done :)
took a few attempts of bleeding before i got all the spongeyness out, if i slam on now they bloody stop me ha, not quite the 280's but a great medium, and this way i get to keep the standard wheels, so jobs a goodun :Q
Image
Image

will do some painting over the weekend, not that im on stand but just ready for Ford fair, ill do the mirrors, handles and rust area, also ill do the calipers
me and matt are gonna go halfers on a pot of yellow hammerite :chill:

yea mate, one of them has more 'terminal' rust wethe rit wears away after more miles or not i dont know, but its certainly not efficent braking ont hat particular spot right now, only effected the inner ring of the disc where its in contact with the pads, but im not too concerned, theys till stop me quickly,

ill look into uprated pads when these ones wear out, probs green stuffs so my wheels stay cleaner for longer :chill:
