Nice work. Gearbox's suck when they go, good you got it cheap.

Notice your dropping 30mm on the front and 60mm on the rear? Why? That'll sit well arse low and front high. Just drop it 60 all round! I had it 60mm all round look (excuse the gay rear lights) :

and that sat perfectly. If you did it like that it'll just look silly as the front will be up in the air still.

cheers for comments guys
im doin it as iv stripped the rear and without the weight in the bk the rear has lifted and its horrible round corners
so if i low the rear by 60 and the front by 40 it will sit sweet then oh and a few reasons for not wantin 60 on front is rubbin and the lower the front is the more often your changin wishbones :doh:
trust me 60mm on rear 40/30mm on front of a stripped si :thumbsup:

oh right if its stripped then fair enough, probably would be best. but at least 40mm :P Well in theory.. 100mm on the back and 80mm on the front? Don't want no arch gap!

i like a lil arch gap though
there is a thing as too low imo
i want to lower it for purpose not for looks
and 60mm on the bk is sweet to keep that light end down and 40mm on the front so i dont have any rubbin issues etc

sorry nnot checked my own thread in ages
she flies now lol
although the top end isnt as good as the diesel box
i can comfortably sit at 70mph doin bout 3k rpm
but she can easily do 120mph and the rest which is quite nerving in such a small car :homo:
still alot to do to this car yet picture update coming soooooooon

right its been a few weeks since i even drove the fez after bein unreliable. breather issue, 'noises' i jus wasnt happy drivin her so she sat on the drive while i used the c-max :chill:
got a day off today so thought id get some stuff done
oil and filter change to fully synthetic and a tighten up of the power steering hoses and a refill of fluid
then i turned her over the noises were nealry gone lol jus an alternator pulley squeakin at me now
so i sat and hit the rev limiter a few times once the oil was warm and it seems to have done wonders for my car
i dont think i was thrashin it enough :lolz:
anyway my love has beenm refound and il beback on it once i get my first new job paycheque boom :thumbsup:

the engine is gettin a rebuild and im buyin another car so my mum can hav her car bk lol
im in 2 minds wot to do

1. standard rebuild using rs1800 head or
2. carbs?

and wot do i need for carbs? which carbs etc?
