Dosen't need to be an RS1800 rep. Keep it Si and put a bigger engine in fair enough, But Si's are awesome looking. If you want an RS1800 buy one ;)

I couldnt agree more, si,s look more modern and with a few mods look just as mean if not meaner than the rs1800, be proud of what you got.

An RS1800 would kill me on insurance though. People make base model MK3's Si lookalikes. I love my Si to pieces but people at work still take the p out of it, “its a banger“ “its a crapy old fiesta“ “is your 0-60 time when you push it. I just want to turn it into something really special so they dont laugh at me anymore

Clearly they know nothing about cars, they are apparently easy to stick a 2.0 litre in which will make it abit faster than a rs1800. Ford people should know this

Making it look like an rs1800 would probably make them rip it out of you more for being a "wannabe" everyone has there own tastes. Hey, some girl just had a far arguement with me about my way of life etc. She knows barely anything about me.. An all because she called my car a "tin can" lots of people will hate your car, lots of people will love it. Main thing is, you like it, don't let anyone else put you down, it's your car :D

if you want to make an rs1800 then go ahead and do it. i personally think it will look great and the rs kit looks better than the si bumpers.

tbh you will get ripped what ever you do, most people view of fords are the same "sh**e old rust buckets" mostly cos there dad's mate's brother's girlfriend had one and it broke alot becuase it wasn't looked after.

at the end of the day only someone who has owned a fiesta can understand the love hate/relationship

mine got ripped by a scooby owner the other day, shame he didnt realise what an Rs turbo was,

Subaru impreza £5000
Subaru insurance for 20y/o £1500+
Getting beat by a 20y/o Rs turbo and watching his smug smile dissappear. Priceless

hahaha at the bmw dimwit. even my hcs had a 320i until 40... which was the speed limit anyways, much to my amusement as he was trying to show off to his missus so i gave it a bootful with l plates and my mum in the car lol.

the point being most bm's are heavy with engines that are much to small for the size of the car

the funny thing is he thinks he will have me round roundabouts, sorry but after the northern meet we think i have brought a car on -35mm lowering springs and i have cheap but very grippy tyres on it, also stripped out, something tells me it won't happen. This BMW is a 1.6 S reg 3 series lol

8-) i can imagine how grippy yours is. a mate of mine has a corsa that has been lowered and has uniroyal rainsports on and it's suprised me how good my car is as standard with just the front arb.

oh and talking of 1.6 bmws we have got one in work atm becuase the owner's gf ran it stright over a rockery and smashed the front splitter and undertrays off lol

Ok so yesterday i had a very interesting day, i headed up to sunny scunny, which it was raining then went to pay Ash a visit as i was getting the exhaust off his Si. I turned up at about quarter past 1 and had to wait another 15mins for Ash to turn up. Got ready to get started to find out that Dave had used Ash's tools recently and we couldn't find the 13mm so we had a trip to halfrauds. we were following a bus on the way and it indicated left, so i decided to go round it as i thought it was indicating as it was at a bus stop. It wasent. It was at a set of traffic lights on red and i was greeted by about 5 cars as i went round him with a few obsanities shouted at me aswell . We got back and started work to find out that we didn't have a 15mm thanks to Dave again so it was another trip to halfrauds, this time not picking a fight with any traffic. Eventually, after much brute force and ignorance we got the exhaust off his Si after 7 as we heard the Emmerdale music . Then came the fun job of getting the exhaust off mine. The joint from the backbox to the middle section just would not budge, Ash managed to make a modified exhaust tip with a hammer but to cut a very long, about 3 hour story short, we got it off by breaking the backbox off the pipe before the joint. Basically, that exhaust will never fit an Si again :D. It was really easy to get the exhaust on to my car, atleast it was at first. we got it bolted up, started up and it sounded like a tank, by this point it had been raining for bloody ages and we were getting pretty wet and i still had a 2 hour journey ahead of me. We decided to tighten up the downpipe bolts which according to Ash produced the face of the day, i snapped one of the downpipe bolts and my face had the worried look of a rabbit starring into the headlights of a lorry coming towards it . After replacing that we decided that we needed to tighten up the join from the cat to the middle section so the crossmember had to come off again, which produced the tied first quote of the day, "Ben, i don't know what you have un done but they are not the cross member bolts" :banghead: They were the lower arm bolts, it was all most pitch black by this time hence the mistake. By this stage i could hardly walk because how wet i was, so Ash sourced some water proofs from some where and sorted my cock up out. So after all that, at about half midnight i set off home, still with it blowing but thats because we had no exhaust putty, i got back in to rugby at about half 2 after stopping on the motorway for fuel and a large coffee and that was my day. I'll give Ash the honor of explaning about the WD40 but at the end of the day i have a new (blowing) exhaust system, a MK4 wiper arm and the skirts and arches that i wanted and to top it off today my RS1800 badge came through the post

lol it truth it took the piss getting the exhaust of my Si as the cat and middle section was air jack together, and in thrying to get the exhaust off my car we bent a bolt which then obviously wouldnt tighten properly, lol my gf has reminded me to say that ben likes to turn everything i say into a sexual comment and ben just likes to copy what i like to sing lol, as for the bus incident ive never laughed so hard in my life lol :), yes dave you cause us some right aggro yesterday lol:(, how good did my Si sound with no back box tho lol. Tbh was a good day even if it did take the piss, we learnt if we going to do it again, make sure we have spare bolts, and lukily my Si was on had to give him the bolt he snapped haha, his face when i told him we would have to take his manifold off :). As for the WD40 we seemed to get a can that had no CFC in it, so only dribbled out :( cutting to the chase we took it back, to which ben demonstarted against his face that it wouldnt actually spray anything :). all in all bens car now sounds the tits, and quote of the day ben goes to me,
"ive always wondered what baffles in an exhaust look like" Me
"what do they look like ??" Ben
"What the f*ck, they look like horses pubic hair" Me

Oh yea i forgot about the horse pubes lol. Sorry about the whole sexually comment thing, i was that tired and fed up that i didnt care anymore. I couldnt believe that WD40 and the bloke serving us couldnt believe i pointed it at my face till i proved nothing came out, i think i would have cried if it did though lol. The missus hates it but i dont care really as sometimes i carnt hear her over the exhaust lol. Getting electrocuted was quite a shock (no pun intended) but has helped with my thinking today as have been s**t hot at work lol
