When i am giving it some, say racing off the lights, the rev counter sometimes goes skitty and the car looses pick up, best way to describe it is when you drive a limited car and you reach the limiter it feels like it dies. When this happens i pump the throttle a few times and she goes again others she wont. It happened the worse ever tonight as i took it up to about 5500 in first gear then the rev counter did its thing and revs revs dropped and the car sprung back like when you put it in a gear way to low. Could it be a faulty throttle position sensor or something more serious.

crankshaft sensor mate

A mechanic mate of mine had a look and he thinks the exhaust manifold has a crack and the timing is out slightly
