i stay out of it most of the time as i cant be ass'd, but when i do step in, i dont ever single 1 person out, your both as bad as each other :lol:

some on PF are really nice people, PF was how i met alex... :hsugh:

, but a large portion dont ahve fords and slate them a hell of a lot worse than what percy does and posts really do get heated on there :lol:

dont be a girl, sit back chill out and take everything people say about fords with a pinch of salt, just remember they are on here because they use to own one

i dont know what pic's you've seen

every car has thier pro's and con's, me personally i couldnt give 2 shits of a frech/jap car was better than mine in the handling department as i have never pushed my car to its limits( i'm sure alex will vouch for that :lolz:

) and your always going to get someone thats quicker than you no matter what car you drive!

both jap and french are good but not the be all and end all

Your right about arguements on PF, my favourite was when some bird started a thread about her partner cheating on her and she as proper laying in to him then people started slagging her off then slagging the person that slagged her off, it was crazy! She should of kept it private though (atleast she posted in the right section lol)

I would like to say that both me and Adam do at least debate issues and donâ€™t resort to name calling (often).

I will admit that I do sometimes start these things, but the blame on any one person would be wrong.

It is usually meant in a light hearted manner but can be read differently.

As mentioned before Adam and myself will never agree as I look at it from the accountant point of view while he looks at it like a Clarkson clone.

I am pretty sure if all elements where considered between the C2 VTS and Fiesta ST in a fair scoring method the C2 would come out on top by a small margin.

There is many times I have been seen to say the ST is a nice car, it does many things well. But to it should have more power out of the factory, but for me to pay a high insurance premium and then have to mod it to get what it should have been causing a further insurance increase is just madness. Basically ford should have even made it a bit better or a bit worse because right now it sits very awkwardly with me.

Now if somebody wishes to pay more to buy and run a car than it should cost then that is there choice, but to me as an accountant that is highly foolish behaviour.

As for the C2 being the greatest car ever, I donâ€™t think I have ever claimed that. Greatest car I have ever owned, yes it is. (Sorry dragon wagon 2.0)

I will add there is many times I have been set upon completely un provoked, a good example is when I made a factual comment of â€œA 2.0 Fiesta Si is about the same speed a Saxo VTSâ€.

Personally I want ford to make another great fiesta and I am hoping the MK7 ST/RS is up there with the greatest and truly stands out. What worries me is that amount of people who have bought the ST have basically told ford its OK to make it just below competition because we will still buy it. My message to ford is I am not coming back until you impress me. As far a sensible family cars go there have it perfect (shown by my recent car addition), and the high end is up there (Focus ST/RS) yet it seems ford donâ€™t put much effort into there â€˜hot hatchesâ€™ and it does bother me.

Back on the main topic here, both me and Adam donâ€™t agree but at least have a valid debate (which may go in circles at points), but comments like robs donâ€™t help convince anybody.

Adam I am sorry if I have every truly pissed you off, I will say you have never had the same effect on me, but dare I say you maybe a lot higher strung than me.

Ps, I will added I am not the mod who moved this or gave it the title.

you personally have not peed me off to this extent its just been goin on so long that i am at the end of my tether with it to be honest as it is not 100% and the debates started off light hearted then got a bit more serious as they cropped up in my thread which if you read from pg14 on wards you can see......

my st is currently averaging 31mpg with AC on and doing short trips due to meter reading which i dont think is to bad

it doesnt cost that much more then a C2 as where as the clios and all are higher insurance groups etc a i live in a half decent area, my insurance on the ST is not bad, but a clio sport is Â£300 more and oddly a C2 is only Â£100 less :hmm:

every time a fiesta si 2.0 is compared to a vts it is slaughtered as it "won't go round a corner like a saxo/clio/106"

even then a mk3 fiesta is not a bad handling car, if anything my xr2i was a good handling car and i had a good tussle with rob's sisters old VTR

what did really pee me off is that when a ford fan has ever dared question a french hatch they are vilified!

The Saxo will handle better than a MK3 fiesta but so it should being a good few years later, as always I will say its an unfair comparison normally.

The only time it is a fair comparison is when you include the RST premium tax which means and RST and Saxo VTS are around the same price.

Do you forget that I know the Saxo isnâ€™t perfect, there is something in my sig which mentions one of its downfalls.

Right, Meliack you love ford as do alot of people you have a passion for fords and thats that, percy you have gone french and you've seen the difference in how french cars are made and that there quick for little hatches.

like i have a 15 year old fiesta that i have shelled alot of money into and people to this day still slate me because its either 1) too old go buy a newer car or 2) its still a 1.1. but you think i give a shit? no im happy with my cars its slow as shit but it looks the way I want it to. my brother had a mx-5 people called him gay and a hairdresser etc but then there re-nowned as the best budget sports car to be made!

you both have opinions thats what makes you buy a certain car so now both respect eachothers opionions and get on.
