So I was under the car today and found this wire unplugged. No idea what its for but the plug definitely belonged in that socket 100%

This is as you lay under the car by the licence plate. Its the wire plugged in at the top of the picture. By the wet hand print

What does it do as its been unplugged for a while by the looks of it.

it goes into the gearbox ... so? erm reverse light switch .. or transmission oil light ? dont quote me tho

hmm well if I now have a reverse light then it must be that. If it isn't then the reverse light will still be off.
Won't know if its the transmission oil light until I get a warning if I ever let it get low enough :)

reverse light switch. its the only one on a BC gearbox. low oil level :lol: the tight sods never put a drain bung in it so you could change it easily why would they tell you when its empty :D

Yep was the reverse light. I actually went YES! something got fixed, when matt said I had a reverse light :lol:

just spotted your missing a metal bracket that bolts to the gearbox where the starter motor bolts to :insanity:

Could be why the starter motor was loose on saturday and had to be tightened up :red:
