when ever i start it now it screams at me and then goes but if i rev it a little to move it its back any one got ant idears :banghead:

well about 6 weeks a go th ebet was slipping and it was the auternater (SP) one but it cant slip this fast can it ?
and it smells like its burning oil but the oil is the same level as it was when i changed it 6 weeks or so

when you start it revs high then dies but when you touch the throttle it revs high again? sounds like something sticking like the iscv (little orange thing next to the injector unit) well thats what was up with mine.

if it just revs high when its started thats just the auto choke

done found out what it was to day
the belt for the aulternator (SP) has stretched and to to make it stop sliping it hitting the pas pipe and maiking that sound so new bets me think
or i hope that is the case :lolz:

sounds 100% belt like, If its started slipping that quick i'd check everything else over make sure you haven't got a tensioner issue etc.

This sounds like mine and my alternator is playing up

Was it like a squeal and when you revved it, it would go high pitched then go quiet only to squeal when it goes low revs again?
Also was it only when the car was first started, like the first 5 minutes?

Sorry for the hijack

I've had this for a few months but my alternator is only now throwing up issues...
