This post is just a bit of friendly advice to our users, as there seems to be a spate of dodgy sellers trawling the forums at the minute. Not just this forum, all forums.
So we thought we'd offer a bit of a reminder for you guys to be vigilant when buying parts! It's all too easy to jump into buying something without exercising a bit of caution. Should the worst happen, I'm afraid there's not much we, as a forum, can do to retrieve your money. That's down to you, although we will always try to offer as much assistance as possible

However, here's a few tips to try to help you buy safely...
1. Try to buy from someone who is more established on the forum, and preferably someone who has had dealing with others before.
2. Research your prices! If you don't know how much something is worth, try to find out. If something then seems too cheap, it may well be worth err'ing on the side of caution
3. It may sound harsh, but be weary of users with very little posts or who have joined purely to sell.
4. Be weary if the seller seems to try to avoid using the forum to conduct dealings. The less posts left behind the less information we have.
5. Check the advert text thoroughly! If wording seems a little vague or something doesn't add up, you can question it. If you don't, there could be a lot of post-sale confusion and arguments regarding what was advertised.
Just basically engage your brain a bit! Nobody likes getting ripped off, especially when times are hard like they are now.
I'd just like to point out though, that the majority of our sellers are good, and trusted people, and this post is by no means meant to scare you into not buying anything, it's just acting as a reminder of the times we live in, unfortunately.
And if any potential scammers are reading this, why don't you get a life you scum! Earn your money like the rest of us, don't steal it, you pieces of shi.....
Well, you all get the idea
The FSi Team.
