i was up at SITECH RACING yesterday getting some work done to the Fiesta , and Simon has just bought a brand new Focus RS in Ultimate Green, only had the car since Monday last week ( it will be his new company demonstartor )

we where chatting about the car, and he handed me the keys and told me to go have a shot in the car, ,,,, unbelievable, i didnt have to be asked twice

My girlfriend was with me, and off we went for a " leisurely drive......not" round the backroads of Blair Atholl, Perthshire

WHAT A FOOOOOKIN CAR, its just immense, even in standard form, the torque the car has in every gear , is just incredibel

Made a very very big impact on me, so much so I phoned a friend of mine who works for Peoples Ford in Edinburgh to see what cars he has available , and phoned the insurance company this morning for a quote, £ 937 full comp

so theres a good chance that the ESCOS will be for sale shortly , and we maybe getting an Ultimate Green Focus, ( girlfriend wants that colour, it will be her car anyway ) ,,, watch this space

Rs500 or plain rs mate?

Also I know that ford sales people got given an email not long ago saying too many rs's have been built so they can now do deals on them. Previously it was the only car they couldn't drop on price etc

yep , I know theres serious money to come off these cars , as they want to sell them, you could command upto 3K off a basic car if you really pushed the sales guy

the 500s have already been totally sold out even before price has been confirmed, . but at 35 - 45 K thyre not for me, not worth that IMO

To be honest the standard rs can easily be tuned to 350bhp with the goodies that have already been developed and you don't need to spend stupid amounts of money getting it there!

i'd like to have a drive in one, but i'm not sure i'd be allowed too

we had one turn up to our local RSOC meet on sunday, just looked soooo coool

your escos is stunning, so dont think you'd have to much trouble selling it on!

i am sad at potential sale of escos but can undserstand why

i rather the standard form of the FRS than the FRS500, quite sad the escos is going that is truely a sweet car but i could understand why lol

On reflection guys Im gona keep the ESCOS, as I can part with it. im enjoying the car, and we had a great day at Crail on the performance Ford day, racing the Fiesta against the Escort, and my girlfriend driving that

we raced 3 times with her winning twice, so I had to buy dinner, and take a bit of a slagging from all the boys , but all in good fun

Was invited to a Ford Franchise to put the car in the showroom, as part of an open day , where we had 35 cars there, and fast Ford magazine to promote the garage getting the Ford franchise

the escort has hybrid turbo, exhaust, fuel pressure regulator, stage 2 Graham Goode Racing upgrade running 18psi, its approx 280-290 bhp

Ill wait till the price of the cars comes down a good bit before considering buying the Focus, but ill have one some day I think
