Ah good i've been taught right then as i learned that you keep the car smooth to the track and fluidity if you like throughout the corner as then the centre of gravity remains in a roughly steady position

Means the car wont suddenly try and shift off course and keeping the fluidity will pay off in the lap times

By constantly moving the steering wheel like that as Ryan said you wear the gear more and generally make the car more unstable through the corner its like braking through the corner by making the wheels change their direction all the time sort of like a form of braking but you should cover that before you get to a corner

Then apply the power again only when you know you won't have to take it off again

Either way get your car up on the power, and get some serious lightness going on if you can should help the bhp/weight ratio

How much is he spending on that clio though? my word a 198 and 6 speed he must be chucking in £££

a spring update, now fitted the disc's, ported head and the 270 cams, refitted the throttle bodies i orginally had fitted to make sure it ran ok with the head and cam swaps. just brought myself a programmable Emerald ECU, wide band lambda sensor and controller to help map it. i can now fit my second set of throttle bodies and do away with the plenum and MAF hopefully for more power and get it Rolling road set up ready for a track day or two and Fiesta in the park.

fitted a new uprated fuel pump today as thought the standard one may not be bigger enough for the hoped power of 180bhp, do problem with this one rated at 300bhp!!

finally got it up and running today on the new Emerald ECU, had a bit of problem getting it started as the crank trigger wire was broken. Seemed to run ok, now just got to swap over to the new throttle bodies

just made a single wiper conversion so i can gain more space to fit a air filter to the throttle bodies
