Tango/Booker - hope it looks good was really unsure when i bought it..
I can justify it in a way- it is actually a stock profile plate, rather than the custom ones.
Erm as for cams, read above on this page, did feel some gains but not alot of money in all honesty. I think i have some issues with the way my car is running aswell which hasn't helped things.

As for why i'm getting rid of them; trying to get the car back to standard/mint-ish condition....to save money mostly and also focus on maintaining the car rather than modifying it. I've been quite naive over the past few years, putting modifications above general repairs (financially). Never good. Starting again.

quick question ahead of this coming weekends task...
when refitting the exhaust manifold am i best getting the plastic sleeve (helps locate the manifold on furthest right stud i believe)?? i think this is why i didn't get it right last time....

...Yes the Probe has now finally gone, so i'm back in the Fiesta.
Probably good timing (with the fuel increase etc).
I've got lots of plans that will be impleted over the next few months...
first priorities are sorting out the stalling/idle problem when cold and the water coming into the boot.

Anyway, went for a 3mile run this morning at 8:00am and decided to take my camera for a picture or two.....
the run about killed me (first one done since Jan) so picture quantity and quality are both pretty poor....but you get the idea!

Yesterday we went to watch my brother (rich - some of you may know him from the 1.4 Micra he had at RR's etc) in his new almera GTi on track at the ISTS (International Style and Tuning Show....I.e. Maxpower type event) which was at Silverstone.

Unfortunately with no stands open, viewing points were hard to come by...





One of the great tussles...Almera Vs CRX (?) Almera eventually won



Intergra had them both though...



BMW that got it a little wrong...in session one....lap one...

Vids (Best bit) - Poor quality

Vid 1 - Chasing CRX and Focus RS down straight



Vid 2 - 110mph part of straight, Almera followed by 205 + Caterham type thing...



Vid 3 - Almera V 205 Gti (it had a GTi-6 Engine in apparently pushing 180bhp...it was neck and neck with the 155bhp Almera on the straight and couldn't keep up in the corners

All in all it was a really good day out.. it's a shame i couldn't get on track and to be honest i would have been too slow anyway.....
the Almera impressed me though, kept up with quicker cars and was good in the corners...

Those gti's are pretty quick for what they are. There's one round my way that manages to beat me on numerous occasions
