those are the correct bits but..... if you just buy the complete engine you'll get the injectors and injector rail as well as the TB with it, will save you a wedge buy 2 of bits you'll be getting already

as for the ecu, that you'll have to message the ebay user about, as i'm sure you'll know by now there are only 3 ecu's that'll work in the Fez Si, just gotta hope that the ecu they are selling with the engine is either a DEEP, DESK or DEWY one

lots of pic's sound good :chill:

not surprising that post was made about 5 years ago (Mon May 02, 2005), looks like many of the links have been purged/deleted.

Have a look at this

Hope its of some help

Actually found a another one while having a browse.

Poor Orange Si is hurt. Started first time after sitting for 3 weeks and with virtually no petrol in it

been a good read this has. hoping on getting mine done in a year or two once i have a jist of the basics.

one question. i understand the 1.6 si's have ecu's which are located in the passenger footwell. am i also correct in saying that the 1.4 doesnt have one? or it is somewhere else?

thanks. and good luck angel!

You are correct with the 1.6 Si... i have no idea about the 1.4 though. I would asume that it doesn't have one as it is just an updated version of the CVH 8v so an old timer lol.
You'd have to get the loom from a 1.6Si anyways to do a 2.0 conversion.

I would have done mine a few months back but unfortunately i have a "Claim" (Fraud) with my insurance company, so i can't leave them for a company that allows modifications yet :/

At the moment i have an retired experienced mechanic i know rebuilding and making the 2.0 so it can just bolt straight in - I said he can take his time lol

megaflea. no worries. completely understand. im pretty sure on this though ;) same as mole, i will be cracking on with it once i get a job! if i had a job i would be on the way! and i want to get some more mechanical experience with my si to get the hang of things.

even if i wanted to give up, i cudnt because the 1.4 just isnt doing me any favours :( thanks for the kick up the arse though

Okay Ben that's kool,
Yeah Unfortunately when working on cars money is a major factor somethings you just cant use second hand, like gaskets, rusty bolts etc.. haha,
Your Si is a great starting place for some simple mechanical experience, the engines are nice and simple to work with, cam belts are simple to change, timing easy to setup, the electronics are basic and faults are simple to find, doing an engine conversion may sound daunting at first but its a piece of cake, once you've done a few things here and there you'll end up with a collection of handy tools that you may wonder how have you ever done without one of these before, like a multimeter, torque wrench, angle gauge, torx bits on 3/8 driver etc..

Good luck getting a job i know it sucks at the moment, stupid economy Grrr
